The name comes from the Spanish word Agua, which means water, an element that is very present in the region and that inspired the owner to build the hotel in this beautiful location.
Hotel AWA specializes in being a place for relaxation on the shores of Lake Llanquihue with first-rate personalized service in a strategic location for all of the area’s tourism attractions.
We are proud to say that we are sustainable.
As we have grown, we have adopted more and more sustainable practices, such as reusing and recycling materials, using renewable energies, supporting local businesses, making financial contributions to local projects, and implementing an organic garden to supply our kitchen, as well as other internal management practices.
Yes. We have designated parking spaces, wheelchair ramps, an elevator with a certified capacity for up to 9 people or 675 kg (1,485 lbs), and we also have an additional wheelchair on site in the event that it is necessary.
The hotel has 3 floors of guest rooms and 2 lower floors, for a total of 5 floors.
Floor 1: parking, entrance, reception, bar, and guest rooms 11–13.
Floor 2: guest rooms 21–26
Floor 3: guest rooms 31–37
Floor –1: restaurant, gift shop, exercise room, meeting room, and spa
Floor –2: barbecue area, terrace, docks, and the shore of Lake Llanquihue.
A fourth floor will be added between May and August 2020 to add an additional six guest rooms to the hotel.
Any time of year is a good time to visit us! Our facilities and activities are designed to provide the rest and relaxation you need all year long.
Summers are sunny and partially cloudy, and the winters are rainy. Rain is part of our regional identity—it’s part of the southern culture and gives rise to all of the bounties of nature found in our environment. Our name AWA (Agua/Water) is inspired by the rain, and water is the element that defines us.
We offer transfer services that can be requested through our reservations department [email protected] or at the reception desk if you are already staying with us at the hotel.
We do not offer car rental services, but we can provide assistance if needed.
Yes, we have a parking area for 18 vehicles, including 2 exclusively for those who need greater accessibility.
Yes, we have an area designated for helicopter landings, although it is always necessary to coordinate in advance so that we can be prepared. For more information, call the hotel at +56 65 229 2020 or write us at: [email protected] to coordinate this service.
Local buses pass by the hotel every 30 minutes from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm, although we do not recommend it for our guests due to reasons of comfort.
External taxi service may be requested with at least 30 minutes advance notice because the cars operate out of Puerto Varas.
Uber does not have coverage from Hotel AWA because we are in a very exclusive area. It is possible, however, to use this service from the center of the city.

Foreign visitors are exempt from paying taxes on lodging only when they present the tourist document issued to them by the International Police upon entering the country.
No, unfortunately, we are not able to exchange currency, nor do we have a cash machine in the hotel. These services are available at the airport or in Puerto Varas, 27 km from the hotel.
All of our guest rooms are designed to accommodate two people comfortably, but in some cases, we can include an additional bed. We have two rooms connected by a private hallway that can be used as a family space for up to five people. There are some shops in Ensenada, but they are not always open, so it is better to go to Puerto Varas, which has a larger variety of shops, pharmacies, and other establishments to serve your different needs.
Yes, the entire hotel is equipped with Wi-Fi internet service. The signal is open without the need for a password and available exclusively to our guests.
Yes, absolutely, although the minibar in each guest room has two bottles of filtered water that can be refilled as often as necessary.
By official regulations, smoking is prohibited in the hotel, although there are outdoor sectors established for smokers.
The hotel has kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and mountain bikes available for its guests to use just by asking at the reception desk. The activities are subject to weather conditions and with the obligatory use of safety equipment (life jackets, helmet, etc.). Minor children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The hotel also has a spa and gym available for its guests.
During the winter, guests can visit the Osorno Volcano Ski Center or hike in nearby national parks and nature reserves, which are incredible even on rainy days, and then return to the hotel for a relaxing session in our spa.

We do not have a fixed menu. Our philosophy is to change the lunch and dinner menus daily in accordance with the freshest products of the day. This menu has three courses with three alternatives for each, and there is always a vegan option.
Our chef prepares top-rate gourmet dishes especially designed to delight our guests. The cuisine is based on the “always fresh” concept, which means that the menus have changed every day since the hotel opened. Our kitchen staff cooks with fresh seasonal local ingredients and vegetables straight from our own organic garden located across from the hotel and that is always open for our guests to visit.

To offer our guests a better experience, we work exclusively with highly esteemed wineries whose processes are oriented toward sustainability and caring for the environment.
Our bar offers a wide range of national and international drinks as well as creative house drinks. We also have a variety of regional craft beers as well as renowned local and international distilled spirits and liqueurs.
The products sold in the gift shop range from outdoor clothing, handcrafts, souvenirs, and beauty & relaxation products. We primarily work with brands that have a spirit of sustainability and a unique character, like our own.
The duration of the excursions varies depending on the activity, although they are usually either half day or full day.
Half-day activities last 3–4 hours, and full-day excursions last 5–8 hours.
All of our activities are private, with the exception of rafting, which is a team activity.
Yes, it operates all year, although the activity is subject to weather conditions and the pilot’s approval.
We do not have our own horses for activities, but we do work closely with local operators who offer horseback rides.
