Hotel AWA
Purposeful luxury, soulful design, unfiltered nature.
Hotel AWA is a family-owned boutique luxury hotel. Born from a deep personal connection to this place, what began as a family refuge evolved into a vision to share with others a love for the territory, its landscapes, culture, and way of life. Designed to offer transformative experiences, AWA brings together personalized service, an in-house guide team, signature cuisine, unique views of Osorno Volcano and Lake Llanquihue, and a curated portfolio of experiences that connect guests with nature and local culture.
At the heart of the AWA experience is a holistic approach to wellness, expressed through intentional experiences that invite guests to engage with each moment in ways that respond to their own needs and rhythms — whether seeking emotion or calm, connection or introspection. Committed to sustainable development from the very beginning, AWA became the first hotel in Chile to achieve B Corporation certification, reflecting a long-term commitment to people, place, and purpose.
Our commitment is to create meaningful experiences that foster our guests’ well-being and satisfaction. We aim to deliver care and excellence that reflect the region’s culture and natural beauty. We contribute positively to our team, our community, and the environment around us.
We aim to position AWA as a global benchmark for luxury hospitality rooted in place, while contributing to the recognition of the Los Lagos Region as one of Chile’s premier destinations. At the same time, we aspire to lead by example in sustainability, serving as agents of positive change across social, environmental, and economic dimensions.
Rooted in place, guided by purpose.

A family journey turned into a vision
Born from a family journey, Hotel AWA emerged from a deep connection to Lake Llanquihue and the landscapes of southern Chile. What began as a personal refuge evolved into a vision to create a place where guests could experience the region’s nature, culture, and traditions through a conscious and authentic approach to luxury.

From its inception, AWA was conceived not simply as a hotel, but as a way to experience the territory. This connection lies at the heart of everything we do. Born from a deep love for the land, its people, and its cultural heritage, AWA exists not only to share this place with those who visit but also to actively protect it. Our approach is guided by a strong sense of responsibility: to care for the environment, support local communities, and contribute to the long-term well-being of the territory that makes this experience possible.
Local materials, artisan craft, and views that never end.
Architecture and interior design are central to this expression. Inspired by Brutalism and deeply rooted in its surroundings, the hotel brings together exposed concrete, volcanic stone, native wood, and steel, allowing each material to express its natural character. These raw elements are softened by warm interiors, handcrafted textiles, and carefully curated art, where contemporary design meets local craftsmanship.
Throughout the hotel, spaces are conceived in dialogue with the landscape — framing views, drawing the outdoors in, and creating a seamless connection between interior and exterior. Cultural influences emerge naturally, from German heritage to Mapuche weaving traditions, shaping an environment that feels both refined and deeply connected to place.
AWA evokes water in all its forms, architecture in its essential lines, and ancestral indigenous heritage — through the use of the “W”, a symbol of the region’s volcanoes and a tribute to the graphic traditions of its indigenous peoples.
Caring for the land, the community, and the future
At AWA, sustainability is not a separate initiative. It is a way of being — shaped by our connection to this place and reflected in the decisions we make every day.

We support the local economy and cultural heritage. We work with regional producers and artisans, creating shared value for both our community and our guests.

We actively reduce our environmental footprint through renewable energy, efficient operations, and responsible resource management, while offsetting emissions and advancing toward a low-carbon future.

We design meaningful, low-impact experiences that connect guests with nature and local culture, fostering awareness, respect, and a deeper sense of place.

Our commitments are backed by internationally recognized standards and distinctions, such as the B Corp Certification, that reflect our dedication to environmental, social, and service excellence.
